Make your bed every day
Simple..... By making your bed before you start your daily routine will make the room cleaner and give you a fresh start to follow through for the rest of your day. If you not a die hard neat freak like me, then keeping your bedding to a minimal, will definitely help you when making the bed.
Put Away Your Clothes
Don’t throw your clothes over a chair or throw them on the floor. No.... either put them back in the closet by folding them so they can go straight in the drawers or by hanging them up. If they dirty put them in the laundry basket to be washed. It will also makes it easier for laundry day, instead of sorting through a pile of whats clean and what is not.
Owning to much extras of anything
Are you guilty of owning to much stuff. As the saying goes, too much stuff leads to clutter. So throw away stuff that no longer works and take time to sort out through your belongings, and either throw away or donate what you haven’t used in the past year. This is really a great way to help you keep track of what you have and what you to much of.
Make an all-purpose cleaner.
Yes, you too can make your own all purpose cleaner. I use this as a multi purpose cleaner on nearly every surface like my kitchen counters, the refrigerator, and basically any appliances. As follows, combine 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1 quarter cup of warm water in a spray bottle and use it with a sponge to wipe the messes away. Viola!!
Wash your dishes, dry and pack it away
After you cook and everyone is fed, clean your dishes immediately, dry and put away. Or put them in the dishwasher immediately it only takes a few minutes. This will help you stay on top of kitchen. Keeping your sink clean from dirty dishes will surely make the rest of the home seem cleaner and make you feel more relaxed at the end of the day.
Wipe down those surfaces after every use
Dirty sink or stove top, why, wiping them down after every use will keep the area neat and clean and germ free. It wont take more that a few seconds. Clean up residue and splatters in the kitchen, I use just a bit of baking soda and lemon juice. This includes areas like the toilet sink and counter too.
Regular deodorise your home if you have pets.
If you have pets in your home consider sprinkling baking soda on your surfaces and let it sit for 15 minutes, and then vacuum it up. Baking soda will help to release odours and break up some light stains. Your home will be smelling fresh in no time.
Mop or vacuum your carpets and rugs regularly
If you have kids or pets it very rarely that your floors or table tops are clean at all. So make time or after you have cleaned the kitchen to do a quick mop or vacuum and wipe your table tops down.
If you do theses small chores on a regular basis you will soon have a clean home each day!!
